There are some great suggestions here. I’d love to hear from other people reading this about where they proposed, or about where they plan to propose when the right moment comes.
This post makes me smile so much I just love hearing about love. So many stunning locations that you would certainly remember forever. The most important thing is sharing the moment with the right person. Wethers that’s on your doorstep or across the sea but I would be more inclined to say yes if it was at a breathtaking waterfall in Iceland.
Sometimes it needs a little more planning than you might think – and a back-up plan too! My son decided to propose on an idyllic, isolated balcony over-looking Lake Garda. He even had a friend on hand to take a picture of the engaged couple. However, there was another higher balcony with a school group on it. When he got up from bended knee and put the ring on his girlfriend’s finger there was a round of applause and cheers from the school group. So just check out the venue first thoroughly.
It’s a nice idea proposing in one of the world’s great romantic locations. I don’t know if I could keep my intentions a secret for that length of time whilst I booked it and then we travelled. Still it would be a moment that neither of us would ever forget.
