We receive numerous press releases here at A Luxury Travel Blog (and we mean numerous!!!!). We get too many, in fact, that most don’t make it on to the site. If you are a PR agency or an individual with something of media interest, please contact us first, requesting guidelines of how best to approach us with media releases.
Guest blogging
We welcome members of the luxury travel industry to get involved with A Luxury Travel Blog, and act as guest bloggers. Put simply, blog here with items of interest and we’ll return the favour with a link to your business. A number of you already do this and, in return, each published blog entry is accompanied with a single line about you, along with a link. Interviews
We have semi-regular ‘interviews’ on A Luxury Travel Blog. You will find examples here. They add a little interest for our readers whilst at the same time act as an opportunity for some additional publicity for the interviewee. To be eligible, you must be involved in the luxury travel industry in some guise, and be of a senior position (Director, CEO, etc.). If you’d like to take part, do please contact us.
Suite of the week
If your hotel/resort has a special suite (eg. a Presidential Suite) that you would like to see featured on the blog, then please contact us for details of how to be included in our regular (and very popular!) ‘Suite of the week’ series.
Photograph of the week
If you have a special photograph - it could be or anything from your travels but must have a ‘Wow!’ factor - that you think would be of interest to A Luxury Travel Blog readers, then please contact us. We’d be happy to look at it and, if accepted as ‘Photograph of the week’, the publication of the image would be accompanied with a bit about the image and a link to your own website (whether or not you are involved in the travel industry). This is open to everyone but is of particular interest to photographers looking to raise the profile of their work. The photographer of course retains all rights to any images submitted for inclusion.
Recipe of the week
Perhaps you are a chef or run a restaurant and would like a little recognition for your creations. Send us a ‘Recipe of the week’ and, if published, we’ll gladly link to you in return, by way of acknowledgement. We’re looking here for top quality recipes - for dishes (savoury or sweet) that might be served in leading restaurants.
Special features
If you are looking for an in-depth, first-hand review of a luxury travel service or product (this could be anything from a top hotel or resort, to a gadget that’s of interest to luxury travellers), then please contact us with details. Competitions
By running a competition through A Luxury Travel Blog, you can generate a lot of interest and increase your profile markedly. Graphical links
You can have a graphical link (125×125 pixels, JPG or GIF only) in a prime location on the site, close to the top of the right hand navigation column which appears on every page on the site. At the time of writing (May 2008), there are 3,330 pages on this site that Google has spidered. (You can check for the latest number at any time, by following this link.)
These advertisements cost £75 (click here to see this sum in US $) per month or part month (+VAT if you are in the UK), with a minimum advertising term of 12 months, paid up-front.
The renewal date for graphical link advertising is 31st December each year. If you begin an advertising campaign part-way through the year, then your ad term must continue to 31st December of the following year. ie. if you were to begin an advertisement in September, you would pay for September, October, November and December of that year, and for the 12 months that follow - an ad period of 16 months. Text links
You can have a text link on every page on the site. These appear further down on the right-hand navigation column but are again found on every page on the site.These advertisements cost £50 (click here to see this sum in US $) per month or part month (+VAT if you are in the UK). (The same rules as above apply.) I reserve the right to review ad pricing (upwards) at any time, depending on demand. However, any advertisers who already have advertisements running will of course have their purchase price honoured until their ad term expires.

Q. I would like to advertise with either a graphical link or a text link, but for a shorter time period. Is this possible?
A. Sorry, no. The reason for this is that we wish to spend our time updating the blog with new content rather than continually adding new - or deleting old - advertisers.
