In social media circles, we’re perhaps best known on Twitter where – at the last time of counting – we had over 185,000 followers (click on @luxurytravel for the latest figures). More recently, though, we’ve been investing a bit more time in our Facebook page too and I’m pleased to report that that’s gradually paying off. Today we passed 10,000 likes and, slowly but surely, the page is becoming more active.
Here are a few facts and figures for you about our Facebook page:
Fans of the page have a total of 4,729,609 Facebook friends.
The 3 most popular countries represented by our fans are the United States (1,893), the UK (1,530) and Greece (416) a more distant third. Italy, France, Brazil, Spain, Australia, Portugal and India – in that order – make up the rest of the top 10.
The top 10 most popular cities represented are, in order, London, Athens, New York, Paris, Sydney, Istanbul, Los Angeles, São Paulo, Bangkok and Singapore.
The number of new ‘likes’ per day is typically around 40 to 50. Assuming the latter figure, we should reach a total of 20,000 ‘likes’ in around 200 days… or by 20th September 2013, if you prefer! (Naturally, we’ll be aiming to get there before then.)
