If instead you have no affiliation with any particular travel company, and do not seek any form of direct self-promotion for yourself (beyond your name, of course) or a third party, but simply want to write about luxury travel, then you have come to the right place!
Whether you are an established travel writer or one who is in the early stages of his or her career, we welcome you to submit content for publication on A Luxury Travel Blog. Please read on to learn more about how we work with travel writers.
What we are looking for
Firstly, we are looking for writers who can write in a way that is interesting, inspiring and engaging. You don’t necessarily need to have experience of travel writing per se, but we do need articles to be well written, and free from grammar and/or spelling errors.
Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, we are looking for writers who are truly invested in A Luxury Travel Blog. By that, we mean writers who genuinely have the site’s best interests at heart, and who would be keen to have a long term relationship with us. For example:

What we are NOT looking for!
What we really don’t like to see is writers telling us they are established, highly respected or whatever, and so don’t need to go through the hoops we set out for writing on A Luxury Travel Blog. Anyone who thinks our rules are not for them is really not making a good first impression. If our rules are not for you, that is absolutely fine, and we respect that, but please don’t ask us to change them just for you! 😊

We are not looking for people to advertise under the guise of being an independent travel writer. If you are aiming to do that, rest assured that we will see through it! Please just contact us here and we’ll be happy to discuss how we can help with your advertising needs.
And the biggest no-no of them all is pitching directly to anyone on our behalf, without our knowledge or authorisation. In the past, we have had travel writers try to secure free stays in hotels or meals in restaurants on the back of saying they are a writer for A Luxury Travel Blog. Please, please, please… never do this!! It’s a sure-fire way to never being able to write for us again! You don’t know what prior correspondence we may already have with the place in question, and how your pitch might jeopardise relationships that could have already been built over a period of years. Any such communication would have to be between us and the business in question, so that we have a say in what deliverables are being offered and so that everything is completely transparent. One person who attempted to use us a way of getting a free stay without our knowledge or authorisation, ended up being successfully sued by the hotel in question, so please take this as a warning!
