Champagne consumption boosted by holidaymakers


Lizard IslandQueenslanders drink more vintage champagne per head than other Australians, a survey by the Champagne Information Centre of Australia has found. It’s thought that it might in part be due to holidaymakers at resorts such as Hayman Island and Lizard Island, as well as international guests to the Gold Coast. 1.7  million bottles of champagne were sold in Australia last year.
