Whilst the Burj Al Arab is no longer the tallest hotel in the world (it’s now fourth), it is an iconic building of its time and the video is worth watching. It shows how during the 1990s, engineeering was really pushed to its limits in the construction of the edifice, as architects battled against intense storms.
