Google Treks: revolutionising travel as we know it?

Google Treks is the latest extension from Google Maps and Google StreetView; it is a project that stitches together web tours of destinations all over the world, whether it be the Grand Canyon or the Galapagos. Follow highlighted routes and explore areas followed along the same path as the team that filmed them – a kind of online guidebook if you will. Will this inspire people to travel more, do you think, or make people lazy because they can see the world from their computer?
