Photograph of the week: Sydney Opera House during during the Vivid Sydney Festival of Light

The Sydney Opera House is considered one of the milestones of 20th century architecture. Its multi-performance venues are the stages of more than a thousand spectacles each year, and its exteriors are also the ‘canvas’ of contemporary artists and performers, as seen here during the Vivid Sydney Festival of Light. 1. I was in Sydney for the VIVID festival this year. This is a great event, with the Lighting The Sails being the star of the show, but with many, many other light-based art installations to see and interact with.

I recommend planning a trip for this, even though the May/June time can be a bit wintery.

  2. Ohh!! I missed this great event. Sydney Opera House is looking very beautiful. I wish to see it next year. Awesome snap. :)
