The ultimate luxury yacht experience for couples in Tenerife

What’s not to love about Tenerife? Year-round sunshine, stunning beaches, fresh seafood and local wines, are all aspects of the island that are well known. But what if I told you about a new luxury travel experience that’s come to the island’s shores, courtesy of Yacht Experience Tenerife?

Imagine a light breeze, the feeling of solitude and nothing but the distant horizon ahead. Welcome aboard Escape to Paradise, a private yacht experience in Tenerife designed not merely to impress — though it will — but to gently help you relax and unwind. The stress, the scheduling, the 7:42 train you didn’t catch, the email you regret sending — all gone. Dispersed into the Atlantic like a puff of morning mist.

Picture yourself and your partner on a sleek, elegant yacht – just the two of you and your own dedicated professional crew. You will set sail from Puerto Colón on Tenerife’s southern coastline. There’s Champagne, of course — served not with pomp but with quiet ceremony. Glass in hand, you pass Playa del Duque’s golden crescents, slip beyond La Caleta’s rustic charm, and drift into the deep blue where dolphins often appear, unprompted and unbothered by your presence. On a clear day (and in Tenerife, most days are), the volcanic slopes of El Teide loom in the distance — snow-dusted in winter, sunbaked in summer.

This is luxury with a difference. The yacht is pristine and polished but not overly-ostentatious. She has spacious decks and a cabin that’s well-stocked with premium wines and hand-picked delicacies. There are cushioned sunbeds to soak up the sun’s rays, as well as shaded areas to lounge on board. This is not a mass-marketed experience but rather a very bespoke one where nothing is rushed.

There is snorkelling gear for the curious, paddleboards for the active, and a sense of time suspended for everyone else. You can choose a three-hour escape or stretch your voyage to six — enough to reach secret bays and swim in aquamarine coves where the water is so clear it looks Photoshopped.

This is an opportunity to experience Tenerife’s romantic side in style – an intimate trip but without any intrusion. An experience where there are no selfie sticks, no cruise-ship crowds, no forced fun. Just space. Space to talk, to not talk, to remember why you fell for this person in the first place. A thousand miles from routine, and a world away from obligation.

Many would say this is what true luxury is all about. Not gold-plated excess, but the opportunity to forget lavishness and to simply be. Escape to Paradise is not for everyone. It’s not meant to be. It’s for the seasoned traveller who has dined in Dubai, skied in St. Moritz, and knows that real luxury is measured not in thread count or Champagne vintages — but in authenticity. In attention to detail. In the unhurried grace of an experience designed solely for you.

So if you find yourself in Tenerife with someone you love — and the rare chance to be truly present — seize it and step aboard.

  1. You’ve missed out one of Tenerife’s great advantages. As it is so popular there are very regular flights from UK airports which means you can control when and how long you go for.

  2. As we’ve never tried a holiday afloat it would be a nice taster to see if we like it. My partner always recommends starting at the top.

  3. My wife isn’t a great sailor and she says that she gets sea sick but it’s never happened yet in 32 years of marriage.

Would the sheer romance and luxury of this trip persuade her to take to the ocean waves? I expect that the champagne would take the edge off her nerves.

  4. I’d beg to differ about the nature of true luxury. Yes, authenticity is key, nice to have thread count and vintage champagne. We’ve all had bed linen that’s disappointed and champagne that hasn’t been up to scratch.

  5. What an amazing experience. I can imagine some people spending half their time taking perfect shots for their Insta accounts …

  6. This is such a great idea, a very romantic concept. Is it only in Tenerife or is it offered anywhere else?

  7. It’s the freedom that makes it so great. All the crew do everything for you. They take care of the yacht and the navigation and the catering and pouring the champagne.

It’s not often that couples get a chance to truly relax. Once you’ve got children you’re almost always on duty. Escapes like this are the ultimate luxury.

  8. I can’t see this being the only experience of this type. It’s such a clever way of giving couples the special day that they want to share. Sooner or later, someone, somewhere else is going to latch on to this brilliant idea.

  9. Awake early for a Sunday morning and one of the many things running through my mind is what can we do that’s special for our silver wedding anniversary. I think you may have given me some inspiration.

  10. All that I can add to so many of the comments above is that she’d like to do this on our planned trip to Tenerife next the spring.
