Bathing in Berlin

Currently, you can find a series of pools – named Badeschiff (or ‘bathing ship’) – in cargo containers anchored out in the Spree River, East Berlin. The pools are or varying temperature and the idea, apparently, is that you go in a warm pool before submerging yourself in another that’s freezing cold, and you go on doing this (each to their own, I suppose!). This isn’t your average swimming experience, that’s for sure. For those with more sense, there’s a spa, deck area and bar too.
