After the completion of a â¬80 million renovation, Italy’s Boscolo Group has re-opened Budapest’s famous New York Palace hotel. They bought the hotel for â¬9 million in 2001 and purchased an adjacent property which now serves as a new wing of the hotel and takes the total number of rooms from 107 to 180. The hotel’s famous New York Cafe, a meeting place for the capital’s literary elite between the two world wars, was also reopened. Room rates at the New York Palace vary from â¬290 to â¬500 per night, with the Royal Suite setting you back â¬2,500 per night. This June there’s a special offer where you can save 20% on 2-night stays.
