Earthpark near Pella, Iowa

According to USA Today, Iowa is to welcome a huge indoor rainforest and environmental centre, based upon the successful Eden Project in the UK. Known as Earthpark, it will cover 70 acres of woodland overlooking Lake Red Rock near Pella. In addition to the rainforest, there will be an aquarium, and an outdoor prairie and wetland exhibits. Work on the project will commence next year but is not expected to be ready for opening until Earth Day in 2010.
