Eid ul-Fitr celebrations in Qatar

The end of Ramadan is nearing which means it’s time for Muslims to celebrate Eid ul-Fitr. Luxury hotels in Qatar are getting in on the act, and offering lavish meals and entertainment programmes for those looking to enjoy the  holiday to the full. Here’s just  a selection of what’s on offer: Sharq Village & Spa: marvel at chef Hassan Abdallah’s sumptuous Eid brunch at Al Liwan  or savour former Harrods’ pastry chef Nicole Illa’s decadent desert station. The brunch is served between 12.30pm and 3.30pm and priced at QR200 per person plus 17% tax and service charge. The dessert buffet is served in Al Jalsa between 6pm and midnight and priced at QR70 per person. Sheraton Doha Resort & Convention Hotel: Al Shaheen rooftop restaurant welcomes its guests on the first, second and third days of Eid for a brunch buffet with a selection of international dishes, there will be also three days of special Eid buffet at Al-Hubara restaurant, and La Veranda Italian restaurant is having a special pasta lunch buffet on the first day of Eid. Special rates on rooms and suites start QR650 + 17% taxes. Ritz-Carlton: the Ramadan Tent of Ritz-Carlton will be the venue of a three-day feast, live cooking stations, fresh seafood, barbecued meats and all your favourite desserts, prepared by an amazing  team of over 70 chefs. A Lebanese band and the Derwish dancer round over the celebrations. Movenpick Tower & Suites Doha: their Eid ul-Fitr package includes 2 nights in a deluxe double room, with VIP amenities for only QR888 per person. The Animato restaurant will be offering a special brunch, and children  will be  particularly well catered for at the event.
