I visit this site often and read the stories but when I saw the picture of Oscar Wild on the rock it made me remember when I was in Dublin. I found myself climbing up on the rock and wrapping my arm around Oscar’s statute to have my picture taken with him and thinking how funny it was at the time.
Dublin is full of statues – almost all of whom attract a wide range of tourists having their photos taken with their bronze or stone friends – Molly Malone in Grafton Street is a particular favourite
