The conclusion was drawn based on passenger count, average on-time flights, parking fees, drop-off costs, and the number of restaurants and shops. cabincrewhq.com evaluated major airports worldwide using six distinct criteria, assigning a score of 100 for each criterion. These individual scores were then combined and weighted to generate a final score 100. The data was sourced from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and The Official Aviation Guide of the Airways (OAG).
The study provides a clear view of how airports worldwide perform regarding passenger experience and what they offer travelers.

Does this include all of the world’s airports?
I often opt for a smaller airport if possible. OK you may not get executive lounges and a huge duty free but they are less crowded and less confusing.
It could be that these rankings are taking the drop-off charges into account. It could be one of the reasons why neither LHR or LGW feature. a £5 surcharge on top of your taxi fare is a killer and I heard a rumour that one of them will soon increase that to £8!!
Daylight robbery.
My favourite airports come and go. Most of them have their good days and then some have their bad days. Even the best airport can seem like Hell on Earth if you hit it at peak time when it’s stuffed to capacity.
How can these lists not include an airport where giraffes lean their heads over the perimeter fence to check on arrivals? How can they leave out an airport where the terminal is thatched? How can they ignore a place where baggage reclaim is just one podium?
Skukuza Airport, Kruger National Park, South Africa should have been in the Top Ten.
It is revealing that you’ve posted some different tables of rankings. My own personal view is that most passengers want effortless travel and that means no delays. It can be absolutely crucial to be on time if you’ve got a connecting flight to catch.
Hopefully all the other airports are looking at Toyko and benchmarking to improve their punctuality stats. What’s Tokyo doing that the others aren’t?
Do the airlines have more to do with airport performance than we would expect t?
Some airlines are better at boarding than others. I find it very frustrating when planes on the apron don’t use the rear door.
Hand luggage is also annoying. In my opinion too many people try to travel on hand luggage and then it takes an eternity for everyone to cram their bags into the overhead lockers.
