  1. I recently stayed at The Viceroy in Ubud and had a great experience. The service was personal and very detail oriented, and I loved the privacy afforded by the private villas (and private pool). Its worth noting that that it is a boutique hotel so it is on the smaller side (which is great), but it’s worth venturing off the hotel grounds for meals once in awhile to get a bit of variety, and Ubud has a lot to offer.
I shot some pics of the hotel (and surroundings) in my Bali set here: ttp://www.flickr.com/photos/purplepassport/sets/72157625471002303/
