More bad news for Costa Cruises – fire on board one of their ships

There’s more bad news for Costa Cruises.  A fire has reportedly broken out on Costa Allegra – a vessel from the same fleet as the ill-fated Costa Concordia which sank last month.  Early indications are that the generators caught fire and that it took a few hours until the flames were extinguished. The ship is currently 200 miles south-west of the Seychelles, without power, but with help from other vessels in the region is on its way.  It will presumably have to be towed to safety.
