‘The Fluffies’ – awards to recognise UK hotels’ fluffiest towels

Fed up with all the hype surrounding the Oscars? Looking for something a little different? Then I present to you ‘The Fluffies’ – a competition devised by the shower and tapware company Methven who claim that fluffy towels are critical to a luxurious stay. The awards recognise the softest and plushest towels to be found in hotels across the UK. Twenty of the UK’s biggest mid- to high-end hotel chains were assessed and scores out of 20 given for their towels’ thickness, whiteness, size and overall feel. With a score of 63.5 out of 80, The Park Inn chain were just pipped at the post by Malmaison (64 out of 80) who topped the scoring. A more distant third was Novotel, with a score of 58.5 out of 80. Where have you experienced the fluffiest hotel towels imaginable and which brand do you swear by?
