€8,000 a night château opens on the outskirts of Paris

This May will see the opening of Château Bouffémont as a functioning venue available for exclusive private hire. The Beaux Arts landmark dating back to the 19th Century has been a destination for royalties thanks to its former proprietors, Marquise de Preignes and Baron Empain. In 2006 a young man with a big idea whose aim was to transform the property into a luxurious ten-bedroom private venue bought the château. It has been extensively renovated, paying attention to detail while respecting its heritage and tradition. Chteau near Paris The château will have ten suites, which can sleep up to 32 guests at any time. Five grand halls each offering a different ambience will be the perfect space to hold any type of event or dinner. A private bar and fully serviced kitchen are also available over four floors. Acres of private land and formal gardens greet you and are an ideal space for a wedding or intimate party. The château’s 19th Century style may have been reinstated however the technology is all 21st century: high speed WiFi, flatscreen TV’s, sound-system throughout and staff can be hired upon request to cater to your every want. It is located on Paris International Golf Course designed by Jack Nicklaus and is on the northern outskirts of Paris. This area is renowned for its breathtaking views of Montmorency Forest where guests can hike and go mountain biking. The two forest lakes close by offer sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and rafting. Guests can also take day trips to the largest French river beach, L’Isle-Adam or go wine tasting in neighbouring villages. The château is available from 1st May 2013 to hire exclusively starting from €8,000 a night, B&B.
