Photograph of the week: Bandos Island in the Maldives

This image is from Bandos Island in the Maldives. The idea was to create an image that showed a simple yet traditional element of the Maldives, but which also captured the beauty and diversity of the marine life beneath the surface. It also shows a very different view of the Maldives, not the obvious white sand/blue sea images which are so typical of the region.

This building looks like a little hut in a continental forest built by a lumberjack in a few days. :)

But it couldn’t be farer from that…

  2. Hi there Paul,

I love this image, its unusual and almost makes you feel like you are floating. Very relaxing and mellow shot.
