Photograph of the week: Cherry blossom in Japan

The Meguro River flows through Tokyo, Japan, and is a popular destination for cherry blossom viewers in the Spring. About 800 cherry trees line both sides of the Meguro River to create a beautiful sight for tourists. While this is one of the more famous locations, many people travel all over Japan to look at the 200 different kinds of cherry trees that the country has. 1. Great photo! It must be an exciting season for photographers.

Actually, Meguro River is relatively a new cherry blossom spot in Tokyo. I believe that Japanese gardens are also good places to view them because of the reflection in the pond like Meguro Riverside.

  2. We’ve been considering a trip to Japan in the fall, but I’ve always wanted to see the cherry blossoms blooming in the spring. This photo definitely pushes me toward waiting for spring.

  3. Such a beauty! nature has everything. i can call myself a Japan fan, i wish i can travel to this beautiful country soon. thanks.
