Photograph of the week: The exotic beach of Balos lagoon in Chania, Crete

The famous lagoon of Balos is located approximately 56km northwest of Chania. It is one of the mostly photographed beaches in Crete due to its turquoise waters and the wonderful exotic scenery it offers. During the summer, Balos is visited by thousands of people who arrive on the island to experience the wild and natural beauty of Crete.
