The best luxury hotel in the world?

Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora has been named the Best Luxury Hotel Worldwide by Luxury Travel Advisor, in their annual Awards of Excellence. The Awards of Excellence recognize companies considered to be the elite suppliers in the luxury travel category for 2022. The recipients were honoured at Luxury Travel Advisor’s ULTRA Summit.

Winners were determined exclusively by the readers of Luxury Travel Advisor, who voted for nominees selected by an invitation-only advisory board made up of influential travel advisors who have graced the cover of Luxury Travel Advisor over the past 17 years. Nominees represent hotels, resorts, individuals, cruise lines and professional services that excel at delivering memorable experiences, a hallmark of the luxury travel industry.

“I am so pleased to be able to present these awards in person again to such incredible recipients after so many years,” said Ruthanne Terrero, Vice President/Head of Content, Questex Travel and Wellness Group. “A special congratulations to all of the winners of the awards program. We tip our hats to them for providing such exceptional service to their customers.”

  1. How much kudos will the title “The best luxury hotel in the world” bring? Guests will have to book years in advance.

  2. I notice the headline is a question. Plenty of people and hotels are going to be disputing this award. Still it all drives standards up.

  3. That stylish image pulled me in. I had to visit the Four Seasons website to see all of the other pictures and videos. Well worth visiting.

  4. Anyone else remember that famous Avis car rental advert targeting Hertz: “We try harder because we’re number 2.”

There are going to be a lot of hotels competing hard to get the number one slot next year. Not a bad thing for us consumers.

  5. It’s a long, long way to Bora Bora from my house, if we’re going to be staying at the world’s best hotel at the end of the journey then it’s probably worth the flights,
