I’m going to have to share this one with my boyfriend, though he’s yet to propose and we have been living together for 8 years.
Well, I hope your dream comes true, and you get the proposal and a trip to the Pacific.
We did the honeymoon decades ago. Happily do this one as a holiday trip.
Me too… I love spending some relaxing, peaceful time with my husband there. Feels a world away from all the troubles on our continent.
Awesome! It would be interesting to see how things have changed in the Cook Islands since your last visit
I had to do a Google search to find out where the Cook Islands are. The answer is a long way from the UK.
If you’re going to travel all the way to New Zealand from London then you might as well take in somewhere like The Cook Islands as well.
I think it is worth it; according to many international travel magazines, Aitutaki is one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world.
Exactly! Best to make the most of the long travel and visit new Zealand’s tropical neighbours
When I did my Gap Year, I toyed with calling in on The Cook Islands. I did a lot of research and I really wanted to visit the islands. The trouble was that back then the islands were difficult to get to.
Such a shame! It’s great that it is getting increasingly more accessible, potentially an idea to revisit!
We’re both hoping to retire in 2025 and thinking about going on an epic adventure. New Zealand plus Ghe Cook Islands could be that epic adventure.
We love it because it has good resorts and food, but it still feels like a real Pacific Island destination—not overcrowded and run by local people.
Wish I was there, but already spent my budget on a personal floating submarine boat. Nothin fancy but expensive as a car
Very interesting, where do you take the submarine for a dive?
