Spring is such a great time to visit this wonderful city, and the Lapa Palace is indeed a great option, if a little expensive and really only for the fortunate few.
I would recommend a walk around the Belém area of the city, including a visit to the nearby botanical gardens, since Spring is the perfect time to enjoy the trees, plants and birds.
