MSNBC has run an article on luxury lodges with an ecological oritentation. With the help of Forbes Traveler, they cite the follow places as their picks for 2008:

- Arenas del Mar, Costa Rica
- Baghvan, India
- Centro Ecológico Sian Ka’an (CESiaK), Mexico
- Ranweli Holiday Village, Sri Lanka
- EcoCamp Patagonia, Chile
- Nimmo Bay, British Columbia, Canada
- Avalon Coastal Retreat, Australia
Many of the Eco resorts have been doing it that way for years. Simply because it was economical and the right thing to do. It is nice they are getting some press for doing what they have always done.
It is a priority for the operators to make decisions based on sustainability. Thanks again for the post.
