Hilton hotels lose ratings Down Under
The Hilton hotels in Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Cairns have all lost their coveted five-star ratings and been downgraded to 4.5 status, failing to make the grade on things like decor, maintenance and external appearance. This is the assessment by AAA Tourism, Australia‘s only star-rating agency, AAA Tourism. A Hilton Hotel spokesman said the chain did not acknowledge AAA Tourism but their chief executive Jeff Floyd hit back, saying that Hilton had been a member of the scheme for some time and was only now withdrawing the properties that did not receive 5 stars.
