Founded in 1998 as Private Retreats, Connecticut-based Tanner & Haley Destination Clubs grew out of the vision of its founder, Rob McGrath, the 2003 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year, to create a club of clubs which would address the shortcomings of luxury resort real estate ownership and the inefficiencies of the high-end travel market. It has more than 750 members, including a large number of CEOs and presidents of Fortune 500 companies.
