Fire at La Couronne, Franschhoek

South Africa has been plagued by fire disasters in recent weeks, ever since the dramatic scenes on Table Mountain late last month. The latest victim is a plush Franschhoek hotel called La Couronne. 7 of their 24 rooms have sadly been destroyed but there is already encouraging talk that they’ll be up and running again in just 6 months. The cause of this latest incident is still yet to emerge.
