New luxury hotel in Nashville

InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a 20-year deal with Nashville real estate developer Alex Palmer to operate a 285-room hotel under the name InterContinental Nashville at 1600 West End, where the avenue and Broadway meet. InterContinental will help finance the $250 million project, which also will include an office tower, condominiums and retail space. Construction will begin next month and completion is expected in late 2008/early 2009.
