Shanghai International Film Festival

The Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) will be held this week and next, from 17th to 25th June 2006. This festival was started in 1993 and is the only international film festival in China. Now regarded as one of important landscapes highlighting cultural life in Shanghai, the event is co-directed by the State Administration of Radio, Film & TV and the Shanghai Municipal Government.
