The premium chain Abu Dhabi National Hotels has announced that it will invest approximately US $190 million in a five-star resort on Saadiyat Island, an island 500 metres offshore from Abu Dhabi. The resort will boast a 400,000 square foot hotel with around 400 rooms on an 807,000 square foot plot, and be built on the Saadiyat Beach district bought from the tourism asset development arm of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, Tourism Development and Investment Company.
