Hotel Solamar in San Diego sold to LaSalle Hotel Properties
San Diego’s chic Hotel Solamar has been sold for $87 million. The property only opened in the Gaslamp Quarter in April of last year and the deal follows a strong recovery in the San Diego hotel industry since 9/11. The sum paid equates to around $370,000 per room, similar to the amount recently paid by Sunstone Hotel Investors for W San Diego.
