Success for Wellington in inaugural New Zealand Bar Awards
Three of Wellington’s most prestigious bars were awarded and celebrated at the recent New Zealand Bar Awards. Co-ordinated by Spanton Media, creators of Australian and NZ Bartender magazines, the awards are voted for and judged by local bar industry and international judges. The Matterhorn was awarded the coveted title of finest drinking establishment in New Zealand, as well as Best Drink Selection. Nightclub of the Year was awarded to Sandwiches, a popular venue home to international guest DJs, dance bands and local talent and 1950s-style lounge bar Motel picked up Cocktail List of the Year.
