Jumeirah – the government-owned operator behind the infamous Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai – is to manage a third hotel in London. The hotel will be part of a £600m, 180-metre high, glass tower (Beetham Tower) on the south bank of the River Thames, at Southwark. Jumeirah already manages Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel, both in London. This latest hotel will be completed in 2011, in time for the 2012 London Olympics.
