We are re-opening this weekend!

Our luxury riverside apartment sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms - one king size and one that can be configured as a large double or a twin - and is available on a self-catering basis. It is located in a peaceful location in Kendal town centre, perfectly situated between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.

** Safety first **

If you have stayed with us before, you'll already know that we strive to be as meticulous as possible when it comes to cleaning the property. This won't change, but here are some additional measures we'll be taking:

All surfaces will be sanitised between stays.
All cleaning staff will wear PPE including gloves and face masks.
All windows will be opened at changeover to provide ample airflow circulation between stays.
In addition to hand soaps, hand sanitiser will be provided - in both bathrooms and in the kitchen.
Dettol spray will also be provided (in the cupboard beneath the kitchen sink).
As is usually the case, we will not be meeting guests on arrival, but will instead be posting a keycard that allows access without the need to meet anyone.
For interim changeovers for stays of more than 7 nights, we'll supply fresh towels and bedding, and take the used ones away, rather than have a cleaner enter the apartment.
On departure, we are politely asking that guests ensure that they leave by the 10am departure time and text us as they leave, to ensure that there is no overlap between guests and cleaning staff preparing the property for the next stay.

The town square of Hildesheim, Germany, is the poster child for, well, poster perfect (or picture-postcard perfect as the saying goes). Home to beautiful half-timbered buildings, a magical, magnificent Market Square, two UNESCO World Cultural Heritage-listed Romanesque churches, and fantastic you-have-to-see-them-to-believe-them Egyptian Antiquities in the Roemer-Pelizaeus Museum, Hildesheim is definitely worthy of its bucket list status for travellers the world over. Making this picturesque place all the more impressive though? The fact that on March 22, 1945, almost all of Hildesheim’s old town, including the town square and the building pictured here, was destroyed in an Allied air raid.
