With immediate effect from today, all Gaylord Hotels are smoke-free. This includes the brand’s existing properties – Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee, FL, and Gaylord Texan on Lake Grapevine near Dallas – as well as Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Prince George’s County, MD which is slated to open in 2008. To celebrate the move, the company is auctioning off 10,000+ ‘vintage’ ashtrays on eBay with the proceeds going to the American Lung Association.
