The Louvre... in Abu Dhabi?!

Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates is to get its own Louvre. The Louvre in Paris has announced that it will be opening a branch of its world-famous museum in the UAE capital. The Arab Gulf state is said to be paying 400 million euros just to use The Louvre name. Opinions in France are very much divided with critics saying they are selling out for oil money. The new Louvre Abu Dhabi is not expected to open until 2012.
