The ultimate divorce vacation?

I do wonder about these packages sometimes and how much they’re unveiled for the media attention they generate rather than for people who might wish to take up the offer… anyway, the AAA Five Diamond Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico,  is offering an ‘Ultimate Divorcee Vacation’ package for those who are recently divorced and “wondering where to go and what to do with the diamond wedding ring”. The package promises an ocean-view Master or Parlor Suite while  being pampered  with a four-hour “Diamond Divorce” spa experience.   You also get a private consultation with a jeweller on what do with your ring (oh… please!). They even say…

If the divorce settlement is high, the guest can trade up to a three bedroom suite with spa room for a girls’ getaway.

Package prices start from package $879 single occupancy or, if you’re already with new partner, from $537 per person per night based on double occupancy. Guests can also opt for the three-bedroom Imperial Suite for $6,238 per night.   Right… time I went and checked the calendar… it’s not April 1st, is it?!
