Ducks to complete luxury trip of a lifetime!
Britain needs to brace itself for a duck invasion! Some 29,000 ducks have been on a luxury trip of a lifetime for the past 15 years and are expected to wash up on the Cornish coastline very soon. Back in 1992, they fell overboard from a container ship that was travelling from China to Seattle, and have been on the loose ever since. The incident has given scientists a valuable insight into surface ocean currents, as the ducks enjoyed travelling through the waters of the Arctic, Pacific and Atlantic oceans. Their journey from the Bering Strait to the Atlantic alone took around 5 years due to slow-moving ice. If you’re holidaying in Cornwall this year, keep your eyes peeled!
