Whilst more than $100,000 has been known to be paid for a bottle of wine at auction (Chateau Lafite 1787 was sold at Christie’s in London in 1985 for $160,000), here’s a round-up of the most expensive red and white wines readily available on the conventional market.

It´s curious to see that most wines are French. They know how to sell their wines, inspite of having wines as good as the French ones in Spain. May I suggest Vega Sicilia or Pingus as nice examples of excellent Spanish reds, too.
