Beijing’s Water Cube

Water CubeLook out for the Water Cube at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.   This national aquatics centre was official unveiled last month and will host diving and swimming events between 8th and 24th August 2008. The complex cost over 1 billion yuan (that’s a little shy of $150 million), covers 65,000 square metres and will have a capacity of 17,000 for the duration of the Games.   And for that kind of spend, you also get a lot of LEDs to ensure the venue looks pretty at night!
