Scotch tasting at The Davenport Hotel & Tower

Here’s a whiskey-lover’s dream. The Palm Court Grill at The Davenport Hotel and Tower presents a private Scotch tasting and dinner on 23rd October 2008, from 6-9pm.  Here’s the menu: 1st course: Macallan 12-year-old served with prosciutto-wrapped scallops with blue cheese whiskey caviar 2nd course: Highland Park 12-year-old served with a white onion and cheddar soup 3rd course: Macallan Cask Strength served with smoked duck sausage with a fig compote 4th course: Macallan 18-year-old served with cedar plank salmon with a ginger-huckleberry butter 5th course: A Mystery Replica Scotch served with ancho chilli chocolate indulgence cake with a brandy-poached pear and mocha ice cream Cost is $80 per person.
