Afternoon tea in London – with a difference
TLSee (Tea, London and Sightseeing) – a pun on TLC (tender, loving care) is the new afternoon tea concept at Swissôtel The Howard, London and treats guests to edible versions of the famous sights of the city on the Thames.
With TLSee, nine different London landmarks, some in 3D, are served up alongside traditional finger sandwiches and home-baked scones. Executive Chef Brian Spark has had special cake tins made to his exact requirements, and the TLSee treats are freshly prepared using these in the hotel patisserie.
Aanyone visiting London who doesn’t make it to Big Ben can at least enjoy the landmark in the form of a chocolate cake while taking a break at the hotel.

this sounds great, one of my favourite afternoon tea’s in london is at the Berkley who do a pret a portea, a high fashion afternoon tea for all fashionistas. the cakes and desserts are all inspired by designs from the catwalk collections of that season whether it be jimmy choo or vivienne westwood. a very stylish yum!

emily the berkley pret a portea is quite an experience and even better if you add the glass of champagne option – a very fashionable and civilised way to spend a couple of hours and also just round the corner from harvey nics and harrods for a spot of retail therapy afterwards!
Thanks Irene, think it would make a great gift for somebody. My mum deserves a treat so I’m going to keep this in mind for her birthday, which will of course require champagne!
Thanks for this information. I am planning a trip for my teen age granddaughter and I for London and this will really help my planning. It seems like this might be more fun for a 16 year old that some of the more traditional high tea locations. Thanks.
