3 romantic getaways for the perfect UK Valentine’s Day

We’ve been contacted by Interflora who are looking for you to share your Valentine’s Day tips.  Here are a few suggestions to whet your appetite.

Romance by the riverside in beautiful Cumbria

Kendal Holiday Cottages Ltd. has a luxurious apartment in Kendal, between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, that opened less than 12 months ago and overlooks the River Kent towards Kendal Castle.  At the time of writing, there’s still availability for a Valetnine’s stay, reduced to £390 for either a Friday-Monday or Monday-Friday stay.  Have a romantic, cosy dinner in, or wander into one of the many restaurants in town to wine and dine your loved one.

Valentine’s Day with cuddles and bubbles

Don’t let the bubble burst on Valentine’s Day! It’s not too late to organize a romantic getaway with Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts “Cuddles and Bubbles” package, featuring a bottle of Moet et Chandon Rose Imperial Champagne on arrival and a late check-out.  Available between 11th-14th February 2011 at eight UK Park Plaza properties, the package includes a full English breakfast and a late check-out. Prices start from £139 per room per night.

A luxury cottage at Celtic Haven

Enjoy a Valentine’s escape for less than £300 per couple in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, with Celtic Haven‘s ‘Lovers’ Valentine’s Package’. The luxury cottage resort is in the perfect romantic setting, with charming 12th Century accommodation, a clifftop location and views over Caldey Island and the Atlantic Ocean. The cost of the package is £298.00 for two people for a three night weekend break or a four night midweek break.
