Where on earth is this?

A little puzzler for you today!  The sign you see pictured is actually somewhere I’ve been – a couple of times as it happens. But where do you think it could be? Don’t be shy now… have a guess by posting in the comments below… (and no, don’t try sneaking a look at the source code in case I’ve called the file <placename>.jpg – I haven’t!!!)

No clues here!

Would that be in Iceland? Kangar..something or rather? A friend recently posted a similar pic on his facebook page!

Is this a sign in the USA and all towns in North America?
With Los Angeles 8 hours away we might be up in the mountains that make up the Rockies, looking at the background ot the sign.

One idea is en route to North Pole Santa’s Workshop Theme Park by Pike’s Peak in Cascade, Colorado USA?

Sondre Stromfjord, Greenland!! Sign is just outside the terminal building. Used to fly there many years ago…

  4. Paul Johnson says:

Correct, Adam. Also known by its Greenlandic name of Kangerlussuaq (so you were close, too, Ludgero!).

  5. Jane Irwin says:

I think it might be Greeeland because it seems to be pretty far North – even further north than Northern Ireland…And the landscape looks pretty barren – but beautiful
