Photograph of the week: Cala Pi beach, Majorca

This week’s image is of the Cala Pi beach which is a small sandy beach hidden between amazing rocky seacliffs at the extreme southeast of Majorca – the largest island in the Balearics. There are many hidden beaches in Majorca but this one is a must see for all travellers. The only access is a remarkable 120-step staircase starting from the above resort’s terrace – the Mediterranean Cala Pi Club – and following the cliff’s ridges and slopes to finally end right on the sand. In the Summertime many private yachts drop anchor in the intense blue-coloured cove, creating a magnificent view over the Mediterranean Sea for all tourists relaxing on this compact sandy beach.

Thank you for the sharing. Beautiful picture indeed!

From the end of spring, the creek is dotted with many private yachts and catamarans that dock here for the afternoon.

A wonderful view from the beach!
