Photograph of the week: Dusk storm over Paris

It’s winter in the City of Love. A storm blows in over Paris, making the city stark against a dusky sky. The dome silhouetted in this photo is Les Invalides, the grand golden-domed monument where Napoleon Bonaparte is buried. The light is always changing in Paris, and seeing scenes such as this one, it is easy to understand how the city inspired the birth of the Impressionist movement.
