How to make the most of your trip to Niagara Falls
Launched in 2016 is a whole new way to experience the Falls. WildPlays MistRider Zipline to the Falls is a “flight without feathers”. Four parallel ziplines soar alongside the American Falls towards the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. You dangle from a 67 metre high vantage point as you travel 670 metres at speeds of up to 40 mph along the edge of the Niagara River Gorge to the Falls observation landing. Not even a helicopter will give you such a view or thrill.
In addition to the MistRider is the Whirlpool Adventure Course. Three levels of obstacle courses include dozens of climbing, ziplining, jumping and swinging aerial games suitable for anyone from 7 upwards subject to the usual caveats about bad backs and pregnancy. The third new attraction is the “What’s to Fear Jump”. This is exactly what it says on the tin. A loose line leap from 40feet! You can do this on its own or as an add-on to the Whirlpool Adventure Course. If you like adrenaline rushes, you should also try a jetboat tour through the Niagara Gorge.
After all the excitement of visiting the Falls, you will need somewhere to stay. There are lots of choices in Niagara itself including the Marriott Fallsview which is very close to the action and has some of the best views of the Falls. However if you prefer something a little quieter, and it has to be said that Niagara Falls is a busy place, I would highly recommend the small town of Niagara-on-the-Lake which has plenty of excellent hotels such as the Queens Landing or Prince of Wales, boutique shopping and great access to the many vineyards that surround the area.

Niagara Falls is one of the most spectacular sights you will ever see. Did you know that there are even more ways to experience the Falls, more attractions and that there have been some changes?
The Journey Behind the Falls with its sights and sounds of thundering water assailing all your senses is still one of my favourites; the old Maid of the Mist has been taken over by Hornblower Cruises who do an equally good job of getting you close to the Falls, getting soaking wet in the process and kindly providing you with bright red waterproof capes to keep off the worst of the spray.
Niagara Helicopters flight over the Falls gives you an amazing birds eye view and keeps you dry!

I wish I had read this guide before our first visit!! Niagara Falls was the first place my partner and I went to on our first ever travels together and is actually where we said we loved each other for the first time! As cheesy and busy as the Canadian side was in the height of summer, I actually loved spending the day doing the various activities around the falls and then the evenings sipping weird and wonderful cocktails and visiting the silly wax museums and mini golf course! ?
I love traveling, Niagara falls are very famous in the world. Most people like taking photos and enjoying the beauty of this landscape.
