Luxury travel in Vietnam

With so much to offer including pristine beaches, vibrant cities and ethereal landscapes, Vietnam is a sparkling jewel in the crown of Southeast Asia. Whether you want to stay in a unique city centre luxury hotel or spend your time at an elegant and luxurious beach resort, Vietnam has got you covered. If you fancy joining a luxury cruise through Halong Bay, playing a round of golf on an award winning golf course or enjoying champagne and canapés on the Saigon River aboard a private yacht, Vietnam really has got something for every traveller that enjoys the finer things in life. The Reverie Saigon This is the premier location in Saigon for a serious slice of luxurious opulence. The Reverie Saigon needs to be seen to be believed, it truly is a unique and remarkable luxury hotel that is as bold as it is beautiful. Whichever of the 286 rooms and suites you choose from, you can be sure to be impressed and amazed by the exquisite fabrics, bespoke furniture from leading designers and bathroom amenities from only the finest brands throughout. During your stay expect first rate service, exceptional fine dining and a stunning spa that offers a selection of indulgent experiences that will leave you relaxed and rejuvenated. The Reverie Yacht Since The Reverie Saigon opened in 2015 they have continued to amaze and astound their guests with what is one of the most unique and outstanding luxury hotels in the world. With the launch of The Reverie Yacht they have raised the bar further by offering an unrivalled and unforgetable experience. Luxury car transfer to you awaiting private yacht? Check. Crew of three, private butler and personal chef onboard awaiting your arrival? Check. Italian designed, state of the art exterior and interior? Check. Champagne and fine dining whilst cruising with up to 10 of your friends or family? Check. You get the idea, this is the epitomy of luxury travel that you can expect when sailing on The Reverie Yacht. Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort After enjoying everything that the excitement and bright lights of Saigon has to offer what better than to head to the beach for some beachfront luxury? Located just a 2 hour drive from Saigon is the brand new Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort, where guests have a selection of contemporary rooms, suites and villas to choose from, with many boasting direct ocean views and access. With the area fast becoming the destination of choice for those wishing to escape the city, Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort has certainly made a statement with the newest resort to open in the area. The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip If escaping the gilded, beachfront luxury that your hotel has to offer is something that you can manage, then why not book a round of golf? Just along the coast is The Bluffs which is an awarding winning seaside links course designed by golfing legend and Vietnam tourism ambassador, Greg Norman. Since opening in 2014 it has often been recognised as one of the finest courses in the region and has continued to challenge all of those that choose to walk the fairways. Paradise Cruises The final stop on your luxury Vietnam tour is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay located in the Northeast of the country. Surely the only way to explore the ethereal limestone karts that this region is famous for is to join a luxury cruise? Since their launch in 2008, Paradise Cruises have emerged as one of the leading operators in the region. They offer their discerning guests a choice of boats, each of which are “lavishly decorated floating hotels offering world-class service, Vietnamese hospitality, and breathtaking views.” We think that joining a Paradise Cruise sounds like the perfect way to end your Vietnam adventure… As you can see from our suggestions above, luxury travel in Vietnam certainly comes in all shapes and sizes. We are big fans of Vietnam and look forward to continuing our own exploration of this rich and enchanting country. In the meantime, our hope is that we’ve helped you with the planning for your next trip to this wonderfully diverse location. Paul Eyers is Founder of Vegan Food Quest. 1. I also love all of the different kinds of holidays Vietnam has to offer. Especially since it is so close to cambodia! I must say I haven’t experienced these kind of luxurious holidays but champagne, beaches, boats and fine dining – I’m in!!

  2. I’ve lived in the region for a good few years but still never been to Vietnam.
I’m rapidly heading towards retirement and looking for a way to mark it. This looks worthy of saving for my personal milestone

  3. Having visited a South East Asia in the last couple years, it has been a desire of ours to visit other countries in this region of the world.
We love the climate, the food, the people, & all SE Asia has to offer. Reading through this great luxury travel blog has opened our eyes, & even more so, to a visit to Vietnam.
The hotels look amazing.. & the possibility of cruising Halong Bay is just incredible!
I think a visit is on the cards in the not too distant future.

    1. Dear Paul
I hope you get to visit Vietnam and Halong Bay soon! We also love SEAsia and are blessed to call it home now. This gives us the opportunity to keep exploring the region which we enjoy very much. Vietnam really is one of our favourite countries!

  4. The Reverie looks like an amazing hotel and one I’d like to visit for sure. Combining that with a trip on their new yacht would be an incredible experience!

    1. Thanks for your comment Jamie

The Reverie is an incredible and unique hotel, we’ve never seen anything like it before, i’m sure you would be equally as impressed!

Of course this only highlights luxury options in Vietnam which are indeed glamorous but the country has so much to offer, not just luxury travel. We love the culture, the food and the diverse scenery and countryside and can’t wait to return…

  6. What a fantastic trip, and so varied. I love your description of the Reverie Saigon – it sounds wonderful. I’m not so keen on boats so the Reverie Yacht is not for me. Likewise with the golf course.
The Melia Ho Tram Beach Resort looks like a special ‘chill-out’ space and its location is perfect.
Although I said earlier I’m not keen on boats, the Paradise Cruise might tempt me. Halong Bay is somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit and what better way to do it? I will definitely be looking it up for the future.
Many thanks Paul, for your interesting and informative reviews.

    1. Dear Eileen
      Thank you for your comment!
Halong Bay is a unique and enchanting destination and we loved our visit. I’m sure we will return one day for sure…

  7. Visited a couple of cities in Vietnam but not Saigon/ Ho Chi Minh. I know right? How could I not? But the lure of the more quiet Hue and Hoi An are irresistible. The Reverie seems to be making waves in Vietnam, though and sounds like a dream. Would you know if they offer a package for hotel stays plus yacht? Quite interested to get the full experience.

  8. Thank you for your comment Diane. We are also drawn to Hoi An for the peace and tranquility but always remind oursleves how much Siagon has to offer. The Reverie is a stunning hotel and we can’t wait to return. I’m not sure about packages but I would happily contact them on your behalf to enquire. Please email me via Vegan Food Quest and i will reach out to them.

  9. I never think of Vietnam for a luxury vacay destination, which is a shame really because this post has changed the image I have of it in my head. I don’t know anyone who’s been there either, and it doesn’t get much of a mention in holiday brochures. There are some truly beautiful places, plenty to do, and the beachfront resort definitely looks like a winner. It’s also far more contemporary than I’d imagined. I wouldn’t say no to a cruise either! I hope we can hear more about Vietnam because I’d like to learn more about what it has to offer. I’d certainly consider it as a future trip destination now. It definitely shows there’s another side to Vietnam that probably a lot of us don’t know about or appreciate it, making it quite the hidden in the plain sight kind of gem.

  10. Vietnam has some mighty fine luxury hotels and resorts making it an excellent option for luxury travel in the region. You should put it on your wish list for sure, you won’t be disappointed!

  11. I’ve spent a lot of time in Vietnam and I can tell you that it’s very worth it to visit. Staying in Saigon, you won’t be disappointed. If you’ve never been to Vietnam before, that’s a great place to start. Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort also looks like a STUNNING retreat and a great place to relax and enjoy the calm atmosphere of Vietnam. Halong Bay is definitely a place I want to visit soon as well.
